How does Avios household account work?
When any Avios are spent, we will deduct a proportional amount from each Member’s balance in the Household Account. Just like with an individual account, your Household Account Avios stay with you as long as you collect, spend, purchase or share some Avios at least once every 36 months.
What is Household redemption on British Airways?
A British Airways Household Account lets you redeem for anyone in the Household Account OR one of the five ‘Family & Friends’ members. You cannot redeem for anyone else.

Why can’t I use household Avios?
A few rules. Each individual within the Household Account must be active within 36 months to retain their personally earned Avios (and, therefore, the Avios added to the Household pool of Avios).

How do you set up a household account?
To create your Amazon Household:
- Go to Amazon Household.
- Create your Amazon Household: To create an Amazon Household with another adult, select Add Adult. You can either send an email invitation or sign up together to verify your accounts.
How do I add a child to my BA household account?
Inside ‘Manage My Account’ on ba.com, when you are signed-in, is an option called ‘My Household Account’. Click on this to start the process. You can then issue invitations to people who you want to join your account. Once the Household Account is formed, you can easily add a child.
Are British Airways Executive Club household accounts for You?
British Airways Executive Club household accounts are not for everyone. Personally, I don’t like them – I want the flexibility to redeem for whoever I like, especially as I often use my Avios for Head for Points trips for the team. I use other family members to operate a household account for my children.
