Where was the Martin DX-1 made?
I owned three DX-1 Martins two 2001 DX-1 and a 2004 and all were made in Nazareth, PA. The DX-1 production was shifted to Mexico in early 2005. The 2001 DX-1 ‘s were just incredible sounding and had a one piece Mahogany neck and in terms of sound/tone/resonance was a level above the 2004 which had the Stratobond laminated neck.

I have played plenty of impressive Mexi-Martins. Enjoy your new guitar and have fun. Everyone can’t afford an HD-28 as their first Martin. It is nice to know and I am glad that people can afford a decent Martin these days at their own price points.
